Lance Bass & Joey Fatone Tease New NSYNC Album & Tour / Bass Announces Talent Show to Find the “Next Great Boy Band”

Iconic Pop quintet NSYNC may have seen their Diamond-selling, eponymous debut album celebrate its 25th anniversary this year, but group member Lance Bass is done looking at the past and is ready to look for the next big boy band.

Taking to E! News recently, Bass – hot on the promo trail in support of his brand partnership with Boursin Cheese – served up exciting news that he’s producing a series to scout Stateside hopefuls.

“I’m producing and starring in a show to find the next great American boy band,” he shared. “I’m so upset that American boy bands have gotten overshadowed by England and now South Korea; we need to take that crown back.”

Apparently, he won’t be doing the hunt alone.

“Me and some of your favorite iconic boy band members are going to help find and create the next great American boy band,” Lance relayed without naming who his co-stars would be.

At writing, no tentative release date or network has been revealed.

The announcement came just moments after Bass shared his thoughts on a larger-scale reunion effort with NSYNC.

“The door is always open…especially now,” he said in response to quizzing about a new album and tour with JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake, Chris Kirkpatrick, and Joey Fatone. “I’m game and you know we will be talking at some point.”

His sentiment echoes a quote recently found inLife & Style magazine by Fatone.

“We just haven’t had a conversation about any of it yet. And I think once that happens, we will probably let people know. I think people definitely want to know. And I think it’s about time that we let them know – even to say whether it’s a ‘yes’ or a ‘no,’” Joey, 46, said. “It’s actually been fun and nice to see what’s been going on with ‘Better Place.'”

As fans know, NSYNC broke the internet earlier this year when they released their history-making single, ‘Better Place,’ for the ‘Trolls 3‘ soundtrack ahead of the film’s November 17 arrival in theaters.

Yeah, nobody cares. Nobody cared ever for Lance anyways tbh, not even when NSYNC was big. And no one cares for NSYNC now, especially since JT came under fire.

And that’s exactly why JT is now prolly thinking bout getting the group back together. Cuz at first they said no. Now Because of all the bad press, N’Sync would prolly be a good look for him.

Bingo. Nobody’s asking for a reunion tour, except ‘NSYNC superfans who are still pressed about the breakup (especially, since BSB’s DNA tour was so successful and they just celebrated 30 years together in April). That being said, I don’t actually mind JC, Lance, and Joey. JC is pretty quiet these days, but Lance and Joey are pretty funny. Chris is still kind of nonexistent. lol

Lance and Joey have always been the most vocal about a reunion and actively trying to get ‘NSYNC back together. JT would hate having to do a legitimate reunion with them, since he’s tried so hard to distance himself from his ‘NSYNC past (I don’t really blame him, though). However, he needs good press right now after Britney’s memoir.

It’s funny. I’ve never cared for ‘NSYNC, even though I bought all three albums back in the day. lol The only reason I bought their albums was because Justin was dating Britney, so I liked him by association. lol JC’s voice was why I even TRIED listening to their songs. I’m embarrassed I bought even one of their albums, let alone three. I could never get through an entire album. lol Their music sounds even cheesier and more dated now than it did then.

I was always more into BSB and 98 Degrees (still am, actually), so I had all of their albums as well. Before that, it was Boyz II Men (still love them too, even as a trio).
